Marsh Creek Frozen Over

Posted by
Nina Lea Photography (Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States) on 9 February 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

So, my laptop officially kicked the bucket, I got the black screen of death. I had started to process this image that I took on Sunday and this is as far as I got. My son was able to walk across the entire lake and there were a ton of guys ice fishing...it was beautiful. I would have liked to have cropped the top 1/3 off so imagine it that way ;)
Thanks as always, and even more recently, for your comments and critiques.

THANK YOU for stopping by and for all comments/critiques.
Returning to Aminus3 after about 4 years to challenge myself to shoot for fun again instead of always photo work.

Cold and clear...I'd say leave the little sticks on the far side of the lake when you crop it for good. I like the processing, it's a great pic.

Sorry to hear about your loss Nina! Always traumatic! I agree that a bit of a crop would really raise the bar on this shot! Nicely done! ;-)

BTW....where is Chester County?

@Eric Cousineau: Thanks Eric, it is traumatic :) Chester County is in Southeast Pennsylvania about 45 mins West of Philadelphia. Such a great beautiful place to live. Happy Wednesday to you!

Leave it as it is !,it doesn't need tampering with, chop the top and you lose the depth...hope you get your L T sorted soon.

This is beautiful! I like the composition just the way it is - don't crop the top. The layers and textures are beautiful. I also like the horizontal lines and colours.
Sorry to hear about your laptob and I hope you get sorted quickly

I agree, leave it as is; it gives a lovely sense of place. Good luck with your computer rehab! It's not a nice feeling to have that happen.

I like this as is. If you cropped off the top third, some of the excellent bush/branches would go away and that's part of what I like about this photo.

Great icy landscape. Cold colours highly enhance the coldness sensation.
