Rainy Spring Day

Taken last week on Struble Trail in Downingtown on a miserable rainy day that I just needed to get out; the positive was that it smelled like fresh cut grass, which I love! And this week has been gorgeous and I haven't been able to get out....ahhh, the irony.

Just a beautiful job here Nina. The color contrasts and the variances in texture from the woods vs the grass is magnetic. The old small barn is perfect! BEautiful...at least you got out!!! Don't ask me what I did!

@Eric Cousineau: Love the recommendation - I struggle with the cropping sometimes - I was trying to incorporate the Spring buds in the trees too, but I like it if I cut off the top 1/3. Thanks Eric, as always!

Sometimes that rainy days really bring out the colors, which I think happened here. The reds on the hill, the greens and the amazing roof...really wonderful.

So well done. It was worth the rainy trek. I agree with comments above, that rain will deepen colors beyond what we expect and add some small amount of definition and even drama. Very lovely!
